Our monthly network Community of Practice, for a chance to make connections and develop peer support and learning opportunities, hear examples of community-led research across the Highlands & Islands, reflect on sector wide issues individually and collectively, help shape the network and have open discussions about topics that come up on the day.

The ALLIANCE Annual Conference is taking place next 30th April 2025. The event will explore key issues at the heart of reforming health and social care in Scotland, including human rights, equality and lived experience. With this in mind, in this CoP we will be exploring the role of lived experience in community-led research.

How can lived experience deepen evidence building, learning and shared knowledge in community research? How can evidence from communities and people with lived experience be better listened to (and valued) by academic researchers, policy and decision makers? How can we ensure people with lived experience are heard so that they can formulate the questions they need to find the information they live every day?
