Community of Practice (Online) - Youth-Led Research

Join us for our May Community of Practice session. This is a chance to make connections and develop peer support and learning opportunities around key themes of community-led research. We will reflect on sector-wide issues individually and collectively, with the opportunity to share and hear examples of research from across Scotland, and have open discussions about topics that come up on the day.

This month, we will explore Youth-Led Research and what it means to be "youth-centred", featuring a special spotlight from OPEN, Shetland’s first youth-led charity.

Join us as we reflect on the foundations of building trust with young people and discuss how to ensure youth-led research remains meaningful rather than tokenistic. We will also explore practical youth engagement methods for supporting inquiry with young people, as well as consent and ethics in Young People-Led Research.

Co-facilitated by Shannon Boston from OPEN, this session is open to everyone interested in these themes. Whether you are a young peer researcher or simply want to explore what youth-centred research means to you, we would love to see you there.
